On the Road Again
It's been over a year since my last blog. I've recently redesigned my website and have been working hard on another exciting project, which I hope to complete this year.
After my move to South Carolina, I quickly realized, there just weren't enough hours in the day once I lived only ten minutes from my sweet little granddaughter!
So, please accept my sincere apologies, but living in Columbia kept this Mimi busy! And I loved every second of it, too.
My sweet girl helped me water herbs on the porch, joined me on lots of excursions to Soda City Farmer's Market (open year-round, rain or shine), City Roots (one of the largest microgreens operations in the Southeast), and a community garden (which happened to be near the park)! She made my days so very happy.
Just as I was transitioning from years of office work to my new Nanny biz In Lexington, my mother's health declined and it became very important to me to move back to Tennessee.
Change is inevitable in life (especially mine) but I gladly moved back to help my family in whatever way I could. I'm spending lots of money with Uhaul and storage companies--and they don't mind a bit! haha
I've been back in Cleveland, Tennessee since September of 2016 and I'm staying with family, so once again, the logistics of having my own square-foot garden will be tricky. I'll be planting seeds soon, though, and you can bet containers are definitely in my future.
I was lucky enough to find another Nanny gig with a great family and my needs are being met. I'm in the process of finding a place of my own, but it might not be in time to plant.
That's okay though. I'll start my plants, keep blogging, and soon I'll share instructions on how to build your own DIY Lighting System for seedlings. I'll continue to share my crazy, unpredictable, happy-go-lucky journey with you.
There's never a dull moment for this High-Heeled Gardener!
